GRANULA is an instrument. It records sound, granulates it and plays it back. This policy says what leaves your device when it does, and what happens to it afterwards. It covers the GRANULA iOS app and this web version, which share one account and one store.
That is the whole list. There is no analytics package, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no location, no contacts, no identifiers collected for tracking, and no profile built about you.
The microphone is opened only to record, and only while a recording is running. Nothing is captured in the background, and what it hears is never sent anywhere unless you keep the take — at which point it becomes one of your samples and is treated as one.
Those providers run in regions that may be outside your own country.
To sign you in, to keep your samples where you left them, to move them between your devices, and to know whether the account is subscribed. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising, and nothing is used to train anything.
Signing out leaves samples on the device but hides them: a recording belongs to the account that made it, and another account signing in on the same device does not see it.
Samples stay until you delete them or delete the account. Subscription records are kept while the subscription is live, and afterwards for as long as Apple's own records and tax rules require.
GRANULA is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
You may ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, at the address below. If you are in the UK, the EU or anywhere with data protection law of its own, those rights are yours under it, and you may complain to your local authority.
If this policy changes the date at the top changes with it, and a material change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
